Release Notes – December 2

We at Ganz are committed to fixing any issues we find in Webkinz World. Some of these fixes are quick, and others take some time. With each release we will be posting our latest fixes and improvements here on Kinzville Newz. This will only include changes to existing features. For new items and features, please refer to the Webkinz World newspaper or Kinzville Newz main page.

Major Fixes

Fixed an issue where members were being removed from the site or sent to the Charm Forest on a regular basis. We consider this a serious issue and will be watching very closely to ensure that we have dealt with it fully.

Clicking a door in the Magical Charm Forest with a key now opens the door properly and does not switch you to another forest.

Pets now properly stay where you left them when you leave the site with the Log Out button.

The Curio Shop has been fixed. Now all items sold, including rares, are the same regardless of your location. So the items you see at 2 pm Europe Time (GMT) will be the items you see at 2 pm North America Time (EST). This fix will take 48 hours to come into effect. (Currently investigating. Issue is not fixed.)

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug where certain pets did not appear in the Charm Your Pet window.

In the Academy, Pins page now shows the proper Enrollment Date.

In the Academy, Strength and Style classes now properly record that you have succeeded if you use the X Close button at the Good Work screen.

The Webkinz Guide can now be closed on the Daily Activities screen.

In the Tournament Arena game Supermodelz, you now get judge comments if you only pick one or two pieces of clothing. (Supermodelz will be returning to the Tournament Arena soon.)

The “Play Another Game” menu at the end of each Player vs Player game in the Tournament Arena is working again.

Fixed an issue in the Beauty Contest at the Webkinz Stadium during the View Competion stage where no pets would be shown.

Members who have guests in their home can no longer be invited to other’s homes until their guests leave.

Removed the “+” sign from the names in the Room Naming tool.

Necklace removed from the Pink Googles in the Clinic and other locations.

Fixed a bug where members were unable to close their My Pets window in the Clubhouse

Fixed a bug in the Employment Office that happened if your pet was sick.

You can now watch what your friend is cooking when you visit their home.

All KinzClothes feature code outfits can now be stored in all Wardrobes and sent through KinzPost.

Hoop Dreams Seal Figure can now be mailed through KinzPost and traded.

Magical Retriever pet size has been fixed. It was always intended to be a full sized pet.

Changes

All Webkinz Stadium trophies can now be traded and sold. It is very hard to win these, so be careful with them.

Minor Fixes

We’ve added back something that was missing for a long while. Can you find it?

The KinzChat Phone now can be dragged from any location.

Help works in the W-Shop again.

The rematch menu for Pool is working properly again.

All pets are properly appearing in the Charm Your Pet window

Added KinzChat discussion about Wish Tokens.

KinzChat has been added back to the end game screens of Tournament Arena Player vs Player games.

My Page… My Template!

Create a custom template in My Page. Click on the DESIGN button on My Page and pick “My Template” – when you go back to My Page, you’ll see a CUSTOMIZE button. When you click that, you can start dragging widgets onto the screen and putting them where you want. You can pick the size, too. When you’re finished creating your Template, click SAVE. You can then EDIT your page and fill it with content, just like the other Templates. Show off your uniqueness with a custom My Page!

Four New Exclusives!

We’ve added four new awesome exclusives to Webkinz World: the Webkinz Day Countdown Clock, the Bumper Car, the Running Shoe Racer and the Giant Gift Box. Check out the Exclusives section in the W Shop!

Four Exclusives Retired

We’ve retired four exclusives: Gold Safe, Windmill, Neon Plant and Stoplight Lamp.

Release Notes - March 18th

Fixes:

Fixed two issues with pet adoptions on accounts with 10 or more pets.

Fixed a problem where pets weren’t being awarded a health bonus for swimming in the pool.

Vehicle items (cars/scooters) should no longer get stuck in a doorway when you log out. Note that vehicles may still get stuck, but the main cause has been dealt with. Remember that we have a form so that you can fix this issue yourself in our Customer Service area.

Fixed an issue where Quizzy’s would freeze under certain rare circumstances.

Updates:

Numerous additional arcade games have been translated into non-English languages.

Dropping stats for inactive pets (those not currently being played with) has been disabled.

Games Removed:

Go Go Googles

Color Storm

Both of these games had issues that were being exploited. These games have been taken down until such time as we can fix the issues. So they WILL be back.

Small Fixes:

Plumpy now has hair in Webkinz Chef Challenge!
Opening the W Shop in the Clubhouse while the Dress Your Pet window is open will now close the Dress Your Pet window, just like in the room (so you won’t have to).
A strange bug where the Magic Carpet would play the toilet’s flushing sound has been fixed.

Note: A number of people have asked about the missing PvP games from the Tournament Arena, like the Trading Card Game and Supermodelz. These were supposed to come back quickly but slipped due to other projects. We are now making them a priority, so expect to see all of the games backs over the next few releases.

Update: What’s New in Webkinz World

We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a brand new game and some brand new items. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today:

Duck Crossing: Our newest addition to the Arena, Duck Crossing is a multiplayer strategy game which requires planning and patience. Each player controls a duck, and the goal of the game is to move your duck from one end of the pond to the opposite end.

New Theme Items: You’ll have the perfect play place for your pets with our newly-revamped “Kids” Theme, which is replacing the old Kids Theme that will now be retired to the Curio Shop.

New Superbed: Sitting atop an atlas, touched up with a telescope, and finished with a flashlight, the Explorer Adventures Bed is a wonder of Webkinz World!

Bug Fixes: We’ve fixed a few bugs around Webkinz World as well, including the Silver Key freezing issue in the Magical Forest.

Update: What’s New in Webkinz World

We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a brand new game and some brand new recipes. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today:

Tunneling Twigzy: As the courageous caterpillar Twigzy, players must dig through a tree trunk to reach the ultimate party pad located towards the bottom of the trunk in this brand new Arcade game.

New Recipes: Diligent chefs will be able to find two new stove recipes, two new sandwich maker recipes, and one new blender recipe!

Bug Fixes: We’ve fixed a few bugs around Webkinz World, as well, including some text display issues in the Webkinz Stadium and navigation issues in the Travel Agency.

Update: What’s New in Webkinz World

We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a brand new activity and new items. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today:

Keeping The Park Clean: The Kinzville Park is covered in trash! Some visitors haven’t been cleaning up after themselves, and now it’s up to you to clean up the park. Pick up trash to raise your “Green Score” in order to earn prizes and special rankings to show off on your MyPage!

New Space Theme: Send your Webkinz pets into space in style with the spectacular Space theme, called the “Galaxy Collection.” A selection of items from this theme has been released this week!

Bug Fixes: We’ve fixed a few bugs around Webkinz World, as well, including an issue with KinzChat Plus in the Kinzville Park, an issue which prevented members from purchasing the special Sale item in the KinzStyle Outlet, and an issue in which the Game Of The Day didn’t appear in the Arcade.

We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a brand new community feature and new items. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today:

Communal Contests: Connect with the Webkinz Community using our new Communal Contests feature, where you can vote for prizes and participate in competitions! Visit the new “Communal Contest” section to participate!

New Mega-Recipes: We’ve cooked up five new Mega-Recipes for you to find with your Mega-Stove! Can you find the new recipes?

New Items: The second half of the Galaxy theme joins the long list of items in Webkinz World this week. There are quite a few surprises coming soon on the Ganz eStore in the future, too!

Bug Fixes: We’ve also fixed a few bugs this week, including a problem that was occasionally preventing players from trading in KinzChat Plus Clubhouse rooms, an issue with the Green Score MyPage widget added with Keeping The Park Clean, and an issue with Quizzy’s Calendar where the Calendar would reset itself when closed.
